Log-Retention System (in compliance with the Computer Crimes Act)

  1. Log collection under the Thai Computer Crimes Act is like traffic-law enforcement: internet usage is increasing daily, and regulation is required if a user causes nuisance or commits an offence online.

  2. Under the Computer Crimes Act 2007 (amended 2017), service providers must retain traffic-data logs for at least 90 days; in some cases the authority may require retention up to 2 years.

  3. Hashing may be used (MD5, SHA1, SHA256) to verify log integrity.

  4. Role-based access control is applied for log-data access.
